HBOT for Other Conditions

Conditions to which HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) is additionally or less commonly applied include:

  • carbon monoxide poisoning complicated by cyanide poisoning and smoke inhalation;

  • damage to nerves or other tissue from  diabetes;
  • decompression sickness (the bends);
  • inflammatory bowel disease;
  • intracranial abscess;
  • Lyme disease;
  • migraines;
  • necrotizing soft tissue infections;
  • and stroke, among others.
