The bariatric surgery program at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center is accredited by the Metabolic and Bariatric Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), a unified national program of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
To earn this accreditation, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center underwent a series of reviews during which all aspects of the program’s surgical processes were closely examined and data on health outcomes was collected. Lourdes will continue to share information on clinical pathways, protocols and outcomes data.
Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center offers an Integrative Bariatric Lifestyle Program, a service that combines the surgical component with a wide array of wholistic modalities-both pre- and post-surgery-to help patients make long-term positive lifestyle changes. This multidisciplinary approach to successful long-term weight-loss is a unique approach. Prior to surgery, patients are provided with a “prepare for surgery” program to help them prepare physically and emotionally for the hospital stay and when they return home.
