The Dance 2018

Lourdes Health Foundation works throughout the year to raise dollars to fund special programs and projects for both Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County.

The Dance 2018

Over 400 people joined together to honor Doctor Alan Pope with the 2018 Healing Spirit Award for his exemplary dedication to the Lourdes mission and core values of Compassion, Commitment, Integrity, Excellence and Stewardship. It is just one of the ways of showing how much Lourdes Health System values its physicians.  Doctor Pope received his honorary plaque at The Dance 2018 – An Enchanted Evening held on Saturday April 14, 2018 on the Mill House Deck of the Waterworks in Philadelphia.  It was such a spectacular spring day to celebrate Dr. Pope and Lourdes Health System.  This enchanted evening was filled with dancing, fine dining and wonderful entertainment followed by a spectacular array of fireworks to complete the evening.

Alan R. Pope, MD is Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President for the Lourdes Health System and founder of Delaware Valley Pulmonary Associates and Critical Care Associates of Delaware Valley, now known as Pulmonary & Sleep Associates of South Jersey, Dr. Pope is a graduate of the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Harvard University. He is the author of a number of scientific publications in clinical, physiologic and immunologic pulmonary medicine. Dr. Pope is a diplomate of the American Boards of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He has held leadership positions in the Camden County Medical Society, Medical Society of New Jersey and New Jersey Thoracic Society and holds faculty appointments at Jefferson Medical College and the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He and his wife Natalie have two children, Jennifer (Greg Benz), and Christopher. They have one grandson, Jack.

Funds raised from the event will help to continue to provide programs and service to our patients and the community we serve. Back again this year, was the “Build A Basket” for the families of the Osborn Family Health Center, a health clinic that serves poor and underserved children and families in the community.  “We are very thankful for the tremendous support from our Board, physicians, volunteers, colleagues, and partners in healthcare.” said chairpersons, Brenda and Dr. Eduardo Fernandez.

Guests who attended this elegant evening are able to view and download photos from the evening here.
