Lourdes Appoints Assistant Vice President of Cardiovascular Services

Lannae G. Ewing, MSN, APN, MBA, was recently appointed to Assistant Vice President of Cardiovascular Services at Lourdes Health System. Ewing had previously served as the Administrative Director of Cardiovascular Surgical Services and Director of Value-Based Care Programs at Lourdes.

In her new role, Ewing will be responsible for oversight and coordination across the Lourdes’ Cardiovascular Service Lines at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, and its multiple outpatient centers. This includes operational leadership and strategic initiatives, growth accountability, quality management and regulatory compliance. 

With Lourdes since 2008, Ewing had also served as the health system’s Director of Heart Failure Services and as an acute care nurse practitioner.

Among Ewing’s achievements, she is noted for leading two six sigma cardiovascular services projects; planning and implementing Lourdes’ Heart Failure Transition of Care program; as well as collaboratively working to help create and develop a physician co-management model.

Ewing is an active member of multiple Lourdes’ committees, including its Cardiovascular Clinical Excellence Committee, Cardiac Value Analysis Committee, BPCI-A Committee, and Structural Heart Disease Committee.

Prior to joining Lourdes, Ewing was an acute care nurse practitioner for Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

Ewing earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Ohio University, and her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, NJ.

Ewing is a member of the American College of Health Executives Advisory Board, the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and MedAxiom. She has been recognized as a New Jersey Nurse Practitioner of the Year nominee.
