Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing Congratulates Graduates

Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing recently held its 76th commencement exercises at Camden County College in Blackwood. Forty-one students graduated with a diploma in nursing and an associate of science degree from Camden CountyCollege. 

There were a total of 41 graduates. Channel Verdell, Valedictorian, graduated with a 4.0 GPA from the program. 

Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing’s Dr. Shirley Richardson; Dean, and Dr. Carol Campbell, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, hosted the ceremony. Guests included Dr. Maria Brennan, Chief Nursing Officer, Lourdes Health System; President Donald Borden, Camden County College; Dr. David Edwards, Vice President, Academic Affairs, Camden County College; Dean John Steiner, Math, Science and Health Careers, Camden County College; and Dr. Jacqueline Galbiati, Vice President, Acting, for Institutional Effectiveness, Advancement & Strategic Initiative, Camden County College. Course Coordinators, Dr. Nancy Greenberg and Dr. Rica Pineda, assisted with the diploma presentations. Philip Johnson, alumnus, provided the keynote address.

  • Robert L. Rehermann, MD Award for Excellence in Clinical Pediatric Nursing:  Shannon Tickner
  • Sr. M. John Francis Coyle, OSF Award for Caring:  Rachel Higgins
  • Jordan Middleton Award for Patient Advocacy:  Kerri Scargill
  • Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing Alumni Award:  Kayla Murphy
  • Sr. M. Elizabeth Corry, OSF Award:  Jasmine Adams
  • Edward T. Ciccione, MD Award for Excellence in Clinical Obstetrical Nursing:  Sevda Ozer
  • Vincent T. McDermott Award for Excellence in Medical/Surgical Nursing:  Alesia Williams
  • William Forrest Rahl Award for Demonstrating the “6 Pearls of Practice”:  Briana Thomas
  • Kathy Pechulis Memorial Award for Commitment to the Nursing Profession:  Kathleen Magrino
  • M. Agnes Berger, RN Award for Excellence in Perioperative and Surgical Nursing:  Jeannette Charles
  • Linda B. Napieralski Memorial Award for Demonstrating Extraordinary Dedication to the Profession of Nursing:  Kathleen Hoban
  • Alfred D. Sacchetti, MD Award for Nursing Excellence in the Emergency Department:  Casey Lubas
