Camden Coalition Appoints Lourdes Vice President as its Board Chair

BarnesThe Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers recently appointed Kimberly D. Barnes, Vice President of Planning and Development at Lourdes Health System, as Chair of its Board of Directors. Barnes will serve a three-year term.

The Coalition is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality, capacity and accessibility of healthcare for Camden residents. She has served the Coalition Board since 2007 and most recently chaired its Strategic Planning Committee.

At Lourdes, one of southern New Jersey’s leading health care providers–with hospitals in Camden and Willingboro, Barnes directs the system’s planning initiatives, including its strategic and operating plans. She oversees the health system’s marketing, media relations, fundraising, grants, volunteers and hospital concierge services.

“I am honored to chair the Camden Coalition Board,” said Barnes. “Together, with our Board and healthcare partners, it is my goal to continue The Coalition’s remarkable progress and to further our mission of improving healthcare delivery for the residents of the City of Camden.”

Barnes has been with Lourdes for more than 20 years, serving in various business development and planning roles. She has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, and her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University.

The Camden Coalition’s partners include more than 25 hospitals, primary care providers and community organizations from across the City of Camden. The Coalition works to build relationships with public health agencies, state government, and policymakers to advocate and build legislation to improve care delivery and patient outcomes for the Camden community.
