Healthgrades Study: Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Named One of 50 Best in U.S. for Cardiac Surgery

Medical center also honored with Cardiac Care and General Surgery Excellence Awards

Camden, NJ — Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center has been recognized by Healthgrades as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery and among the top in the nation for overall cardiac care and general surgery.

Healthgrades is the leading online resource that helps consumers search, compare and connect with physicians and hospitals. Its 2015 Report to the Nation evaluates performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 33 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions.

Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County received a 5-star rating for the treatment of stroke.

According to Healthgrades, if all hospitals in the 2011-to-2013 period performed similarly to 5-star hospitals, an average 228,426 lives could potentially have been saved and 169,298 complications could potentially have been avoided.
