Maternity Suites
Over 1,000 babies are born each year at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, which has been at the forefront of family-oriented obstetrics for nearly 40 years. Six modern, comfortable birthing suites, liberal visitation policies and childbirth education classes are some of the features that create a warm, welcoming environment for the entire family.At Lourdes, we provide everything to make your special day memorable and comfortable. Our LDR (Labor/Delivery Recovery) rooms allow you to complete the entire birth experience in one room. Our "mother-baby" nurses give you one pint of contact for you and your newborn. And, you'll have the confidence of in-house, 24-hour anesthesiology services and on-site operating suites for caesarean sections.
Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County is the home of many trend-setting birthing techniques later adopted by other hospitals. Among our innovations:
- Birthing rooms - six labor, delivery, and recovery rooms;
- Anesthesia options for your comfort;
- Leboyer and other special options for delivery;
- Easy Transfer to Level III Care: For the most delicate little lives, you'll have access to Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center's Level III Regional Perinatal Center, staffed with the most experienced team in the region that has set the standard of care here and beyond.
- Family support during delivery. We were the first in the area to allow fathers to attend both vaginal and Caesarean deliveries, and we welcome up to five support persons to stay with you during labor. We encourage bonding by giving mother, father, and baby as much time together as possible after birth.
- All private post-partum rooms.
