Support and Outreach
In preparation for an individual's return home, patients and families receive information on community resources and techniques to increase independence. After discharge, all patients are followed by physicians to ensure that gains continue to be made.In addition, our staff believe strongly in the encouragement and camaraderie our that can be found in support groups. After an illness or injury, patients and their loved ones can find assistance and resources in such organizations. Lourdes participates in or refers to support groups such as:
- The South Jersey Head Injury Support Group
- The Amputee Group (TAG)
- The Guillain Barre Syndrome Support Group
- The Stroke Support Group.
