Open Heart Surgery

Our cardiothoracic surgeons specialize in such procedures as coronary bypass grafting, valve repairs and replacement as well as aneurysm surgery.In addition, our cardiac surgeons are specially trained in the use of laser technology and perform transmyocardial revascularization (TMR). TMR allows surgeons to use laser technology to create new blood flow channels in patients that are not candidates for conventional bypass surgery.
Care for patients immediately following heart surgery occurs in a special cardiac intensive care unit designed to meet the unique needs of heart patients. Highly skilled nurses and state-of-the-art technology monitor the patient's health and progress continuously following surgery.
