John W. Peterson, MD, FACP, is a graduate of Rutgers University and of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-Rutgers Medical School (now UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School). He completed his internship and residency – and a fellowship in infectious diseases – at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He is a member of Infectious Disease Physicians, P.A., in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Dr. Peterson is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and infectious disease, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He serves as a consulting and attending physician in hospital- and community-acquired infectious disease. His special interests include sepsis, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine.
Dr. Peterson is an active member of the staff of Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, Willingboro, New Jersey, where he serves as the Medical Director of The Lourdes Center for Hyperbaric Medicine.
