Lourdes Caring Boutique
The Caring Boutique, located across from Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in the Professional East Building, is a service offered in conjunction with the American Cancer Society, and is available to all women in the community, not just Lourdes patients. The Boutique offers a variety of items including:- Free wigs and permanent prosthesis to those in need.
- Free temporary prosthesis
- Pillows to use with seatbelts
- Prosthesis bras
Cancer Resource Center
The education resource center, located across from Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in the Professional East Building, provides access to information related to all types of cancer. Patients have access to hardcopy information and the ability to view DVDs, tapes or access the Internet.American Cancer Society Kiosk
An ACS Cancer information kiosk is located at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. You can use the kiosk to access a full array of information about every type of cancer, treatment options, resources, statistics and more.Breast Cancer Support Group
The SpeakEasy™ Breast Cancer Support Group offers participants an opportunity to connect in a safe and open atmosphere. The group meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month, except for July and August. Meeting time is 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.Personal Wellness Foundation
Through our partnership with the Personal Wellness Foundation and sponsored by the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Lourdes offers a workshop for cancer patients, men and women, to maintain optimal health, physical appearance and emotional well being during and after treatment. The workshop covers topics such skin and hair care, stress management as well as nutritional guidance. Male participants are provided hair pieces if desired. Lunch is provided.Look Good Feel Better Program
Held in the Cancer Community Room at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, this program is a free public service program to help women undergoing cancer treatment learn to cope with appearance-related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self-confidence and control over their lives. The program was founded by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA) Foundation and is offered in partnership with the ACS and the National Cosmetology Association. It is facilitated by licensed volunteer cosmetologists who have been certified in the program. Women learn how to enhance their appearance using makeup techniques and how to disguise hair loss using wigs, turbans and scarves. Each woman receives make-up donated by the cosmetic industry and samples are provided to take home.Integrative Wellness Services
Lourdes Cancer Center offers access to integrative and holistic healthcare programs and services.Lourdes Wellness Center
This center for integrative medicine, located in Collingswood, New Jersey, offers yoga, massage therapy, t'ai chi, acupuncture, stress management, free screenings and other programs to improve lifestyle choices and overall well being. The Lourdes Wellness Center provides primary care as well as treatment for specific conditions, in addition to wellness counseling.
Integrative Cancer Care and Patient & Family Services
Burlington County Hematology-Oncology Associates partners with both the Lourdes Cancer Center and the Lourdes Wellness Center, offering referral for a number of integrative therapies for cancer patients. At the practice, for example, a social worker and Reiki Master offers counseling to cancer patients and families. Patients can avail themselves of energy-based body work (Reiki*) and massage therapy.
* Lourdes Health System does not offer Reiki services, in keeping with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops guidelines. Reiki services are available through the offices of Burlington County Hematology-Oncology Associates, P.A.
