Lourdes Health System is involved in extensive education and research activities. These efforts and innovations make it possible to offer patients a depth of talented medical-team coverage as well as access to promising medications and new forms of therapy. Lourdes cardiac services participate in numerous clinical trials that serve to improve care and provide patients with access to leading-edge treatments.
Through Lourdes' affiliation with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, many students, interns and residents receive advanced training and instruction with experienced medical staff at the Lourdes medical centers. Hundreds of practicing physicians from throughout the Delaware Valley come to Lourdes for the Annual Cardiology Symposium and Cardiology Grand Rounds throughout the year, as well as for other continuing medical education.
