Request Your Appointment for Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy (RT) provides testing and care for conditions affecting respiration (breathing). Respiratory therapists and respiratory therapy technicians—also known as RTs or respiratory-care practitioners—are allied health professionals who work under a physician's supervision to evaluate and treat patients with pulmonary conditions (or conditions of the lungs and airways). These conditions often involve cardiologic function as well, and include chronic lung problems (e.g., asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, COPD), and more acute problems that affect a number of systems, such as heart attacks, stroke, or trauma, as well as complications at birth.

RT is an integral part of Lourdes' experienced pulmonary-care service, led by specialized physicians. These pulmonologists offer the latest medical treatment for respiratory conditions.
