Lourdes Emergency Department Staffers Recognized for Accomplishments

Two employees with the Emergency Department at Our Lady of Lourdes
Medical Center were recently recognized for their accomplishments.Moorestown resident Amanda Seymour, MS, P-AC, was awarded the Outstanding Physician Assistant Educator Award by the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants. The award honors those physician assistants (PA) who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to promoting excellence in PA education. Seymour, a PA since 2004, was nominated for the award by both a colleague and student. She teaches in the PA program at Arcadia University. Seymour is the first awardee from Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center to receive the award.
Oaklyn resident Angela Hanna, ASN, RN, had her paper titled, "Don't Cross the Line: Respecting professional boundaries" in the September 2012 issue of the journal Nursing. The journal has a circulation of more than 300,000 and is one of the largest nursing journals in the world. Hanna is the lead author of the article. She is currently working on her bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) and expects to graduate in 2013.
