Richa Mishra, M.D. joins LMA Rheumatology Associates

Richa Mishra, MD recently joined Lourdes Medical Associates (LMA) Rheumatology Associates in Haddon Township.

Dr. Mishra completed her residency training at Abington Memorial Hospital in June 2009 and her Rheumatology fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania in June 2011.

Apart from treating a spectrum of rheumatologic diseases, she has special interests in Sjogren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis and the use of yoga to manage symptoms of osteoarthritis.

Dr. Mishra is designated as a "Clinical Certified Densitometrist" by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry, a multidisciplinary, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing excellence in the assessment of skeletal health. This professional designation is awarded to individuals who meet specified knowledge requirements of bone densitometry.

Dr. Mishra has contributed to several medical publications addressing topics such as the management of fatigue in primary Sjogren's syndrome, the safety of biologic agents after rituximab therapy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, the management of knee osteoarthritis through yoga and the evaluation and management of fragility fractures in elderly patients.

She is board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology and is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Dr. Mishra is also an active member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology.
