Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Unveils New Mother Baby Floor

Expectant mothers in Camden County and surrounding areas now have a brand-new, modern space to welcome the smallest members of the family into the world with the recent opening of the new mother baby floor at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.

Located on the sixth floor of the medical center, the floor features eight private postpartum suites with private bathrooms, two televisions and plush recliners for the support person to stay in the room with the mother. Most rooms offer beautiful views of the city and Philadelphia skyline.

"We are proud to offer this new state-of-the-art floor to our mothers," said Marybeth Lahey, RN, BSN, Nurse Manager of the Maternal Child Health Division at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. "Welcoming a baby into the world is one of life's most special moments and it deserves a space for the family that is just as special and enhances the overall experience."

The new mother baby floor also offers a spacious solarium for patients to visit with their families, offering incredible views and allowing in plenty of natural light. Other elements of the floor include soft lighting, hard wood flooring in patient rooms and neutral paint colors throughout the entire floor to create a calming and healing space for patients.

The mother baby unit at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical brings over 1,300 babies into the world each year.
