Lourdes Offers Free Holistic Retreat for Cancer Patients

WILLINGBORO, N.J. (September 3, 2009) -- The Cancer Center at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County is sponsoring a free seminar, Peaceful Refuge: A Day-Long Retreat for Cancer Patients, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at the Francis House of Prayer in Westampton, New Jersey.

Designed to provide a day of stress relief for patients coping with a diagnosis of cancer, the program will offer participants information on complementary therapies that may be beneficial throughout their treatment and recovery. Topics will include acupuncture, holistic nutrition and relaxing yoga. In addition, participants can enjoy a seated chair massage.
