Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Radiology Services Receive ACR Accreditation

Camden -- The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Ultrasound Services at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center have been awarded a three-year term of accreditation as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR), announced Mark Bateman, the hospital's chief executive officer.

The ACR, awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.

"This certification attests to the excellent quality provided and highly skilled practitioners in our imaging services at Lourdes," said Bateman.

The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and nuclear medicine physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
