U.S. Senator Robert Menendez visited Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County on Wednesday, Jan. 2 to hold a news conference to announce a variety of healthcare initiatives. Among his announcements was appropriations he has secured to establish patient navigator systems in hospitals throughout the state. Lourdes was chosen as the site of the news conference because of its commitment to cancer patients by developing a successful Patient Navigator Program as part of the Lourdes Cancer Program which has been in place for more than a year.

Senator Menendez also announced funding for services and equipment needed for the Intensive Care Nursery at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden.
