Letter from the President - Watching Your Healthcare Dollar
In the ever-changing healthcare environment where every dollar counts, Lourdes is committed to maximizing the value for each individual we serve by providing an optimal patient experience and superior clinical outcomes in an efficient manner.
The new Lourdes Emergency Department at DEBORAH® is a good example of this. Through a partnership by Lourdes Health System and the renowned Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, we are able to bring much-needed emergency services to residents of Burlington, Ocean and Mercer counties without costly new construction or duplicating services. We achieved this by renovating a portion of the existing facility at Deborah and efficiently utilizing staff and resources from both institutions.
In its first few months of operation, this new facility has been enthusiastically embraced by the community, attesting to the effectiveness of this model of care and the need for this service in the region. This is just one of the innovative ways Lourdes is making the most of each healthcare dollar.
